Salt Medical has officially opened a new facility in Galway, strengthening its position as a leading medical device CDMO in Ireland, supporting companies from early-stage development through to full-scale production. This expansion marks an important step in our journey as a global Contract Development and Manufacturing Organisation (CDMO) supporting companies from early-stage development through to full-scale production. Supporting the Full Product Lifecycle
Our new Galway site is built to support you at every stage of the product lifecycle — from rapid prototyping and design development through to manufacturing. At the heart of the facility is our state-of-the-art 1,200 sq. ft. ISO Class 8 cleanroom, designed to meet the highest standards for quality, precision, and compliance.
Just as important as the space is the team behind it, our experienced and dedicated staff bring deep knowledge in device design, process engineering, and scalable manufacturing and we’re here to help you accelerate your ideas and bring innovative medical technologies to life. These include advanced devices such as steerable catheters, PFA ablation systems, flexible electrode balloon technologies, and intravascular diagnostic devices.
Strengthening Ireland’s Medtech Ecosystem
We were honoured to officially open the new Galway facility last week, with the ceremony officiated by Minister Noel Grealish. It was a proud moment for us, especially as the Minister marked his first official opening in his own parish of Claregalway. We were delighted to welcome esteemed guests from Údarás na Gaeltachta, IDA Ireland, the Chinese Embassy, MET, iHub ATU, iForm, MNMT at UCD as well as our valued partners, customers, and friends who joined us to celebrate this important milestone.
Our new Claregalway facility is more than just a space; it represents our vision for a vertically integrated ecosystem, where product design, prototyping, and manufacturing all come together under one roof.
